How do I download or stream e-materials?
You will need a valid library card to download and stream ebooks, e-audiobooks, music, TV shows, movies, comics, and more. Feel free to bring your device to the library for assistance with creating accounts and borrowing electronic materials.
- Libby or Overdrive: The Libby and Overdrive apps both provide access to the Wisconsin Public Library Consortium of ebooks and e-audiobooks. Libby is the newest version of this app - we recommend trying Libby first! If you're using a Kindle product or PC, the classic version, Overdrive, will likely work better for you. Search the app store in your smartphone or tablet for Libby (or Overdrive) and follow the registration and log-in instructions - remember, you'll need a valid library card and PIN.
- hoopla: The hoopla app allows users to instantly stream and view ebooks, e-audiobooks, music, TV shows, movies, and comics - no holds lists or wait time! Download the hoopla app on your smartphone or tablet, or visit https://www.hoopladigital.com to create an account with your library card, PIN, and email address. Farnsworth Public Library patrons are allowed to stream four items from hoopla every calendar month.
